The total market turnover decreased by 72.8%, settled at TZS 997.41 million compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 3.66 billion.
CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 80.82% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were NMB, NICO, TPCC and DSE.
Local investors dominated both purchase and sales side by 100% and 50.37% respectively. While foreign investor participation on sale side was 49.63%, leading to the net foreign cash outflow of TZS 495.02 million.
Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.114% equivalent to TZS 18,522.39 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease by 0.167% equivalent to TZS 12,576.13 billion driven by NMB and NICO.
TCCL was the only stock gainer, its price increased by 5.56% to TZS 1900. While NMB and NICO were the only stock loser in the market, there prices decreased by 0.85% and 6.45% respectively and the prices settled at TZS 5800 and TZS 580 respectively.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 2.1210 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 2.1210 billion, encompassing 6 deals. The traded bonds included were 10-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and NMB Corporate bond.
