Market Turnover:

The total market turnover decreased by 60.5%, reached at TZS 1.12 billion compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 2.84 million.

Top Movers:

CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 96.43% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were TPCC, AFRIPRISE, NICO and DSE.

Market Participation:

Local Investors dominated both the purchase and sales side by 100.00% and 50.74% respectively. While foreign investors sales side was 49.26%, leading to net foreign cash outflow of TZS 552.26 million.

Market Capitalization:

Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.282% equivalent to TZS 19,020.60 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease of 0.030% equivalent to TZS 12,971.82 billion. This is MCB, TPCC and DSE.

Gainer & Losers:

MCB was the only stock gainer in the market, its price increased by 5.41% to TZS 390. While TPCC and DSE were the stock losers in the market, their prices decreased by 0.49% and 1.74% to TZS 4040 and TZS 2260 respectively.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totalling TZS 95.5216 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 95.1937 billion, encompassing 42 deals. The traded bonds included were 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and SAM Corporate bonds.
