The total market turnover increased by 177.7%, reached at TZS 870.30 million compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 313.39 million.
CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 56.00% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were NMB, TOL, TCCL and NICO.
Local Investors dominated both the purchase and sales side by 99.35% and 68.30% respectively. Foreign Investors sales side was 31.70% and the purchase side by 0.65%, leading to 270.23 million net foreign cash outflow.
Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.440% equivalent to TZS 19,142.35 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease of 0.021% equivalent to TZS 12,805.87 billion. This is driven by NICO and Tanga Cement Plc.
NICO was the only stock gainer in the market, its price increased by 9.52% to TZS 690. On the other hand, Tanga Cement Plc was the stock loser in the market, its price decreased by 5.26% to TZS 1800.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 16.8155 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 17.4691 billion, encompassing 15 deals. The traded bonds included were 7-, 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and CRDB Corporate bond.
