Market Turnover:

The total market turnover increased by 49.2%, reached at TZS 1.11 billion compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 1.65 billion.

Top Movers:

NMB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 54.55% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were CRDB, VODA, NICO and TCCL.

Market Participation:

Local Investors dominated both the purchase side and sales side by 100% and 70.02% respectively, while the foreign investors sales side was 29.98%, leading to the net foreign cash outflow of 495.06 million.

Market Capitalization:

Total market capitalization exhibits a slight increase of 0.049% equivalent to TZS 19,081.93 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease by 0.162% equivalent to TZS 12,604.61 billion driven by NICO and TCCL.

Gainer & Losers:

NICO and TCCL were the stock gainers in the market, their prices increased by 7.81% and 2.11% to TZS 690 and TZS 1940 respectively. While CRDB was the only stock loser in the market, its price decreased by 1.39% to TZS 710.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 0.6890 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 0.7092 billion, encompassing 18 deals. The traded bonds included were 20- and 25-year government bonds.
