Market Turnover:

The total market turnover decreased by 80.2%, settled at TZS 809.24 million compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 4.08 billion. Driven by significantly decrease of the market activities specifically on the TCC counter which was previous influenced by block trade transaction .

Top Movers:

CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 94.06% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were NMB, NICO, DCB and MKCB.

Market Participation:

Local investors dominated the purchase by 100% and they account 13.97% of the sales. While Foreign investor dominated the sale side by 86.03%. Hence, leading to the net foreign outflow of TZS 696.19 million.

Market Capitalization:

Both the total and domestic market capitalization experienced a slightly increase of 0.606% and 0.004% reaching TZS 18,375.53 billion and TZS 12,248.34 billion respectively, this trend was influenced by the price appreciation of MKCB, EABL, JHL, NMG and KCB.

Gainer & Losers:

MKCB is the only stock gainer after the price increase by 3.7% reaching TZS 560. There was no stock loser.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 2.8749 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 3.0107 billion, encompassing 20 deals. The traded bonds included are 20- and 25-year government bonds and CRDB corporate bonds.
