The total market turnover increased by 638.7%, reached at TZS 17.18 billion compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 870.30 million.
TCC was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 87.54% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were TBL, CRDB, NMB and NICO.
Local Investors dominated the purchase side by 100.00% and sales side by 11.10%, While foreign investors dominated the sales side by 88.90%, leading to net foreign cash outflow of TZS 15,274.68 million.
Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.282% equivalent to TZS 19,166.43 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight increase of 0.201% equivalent to TZS 12,865.18 billion. This is driven by MKCB, CRDB and DCB.
MKCB and CRDB were the stock gainers in the market, their prices increased by 3.45% and 1.30% to TZS 600 and TZS 780 respectively. While DCB was the only stock loser in the market, its price decreased by 3.85% to TZS 125.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 1.0920 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 1.1647 billion, encompassing 9 deals. The traded bonds included were 5-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and SAMIA bond.
