Market Turnover:

The total market turnover increased by 302.7%, reached at TZS 3.2 billion compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 794.71 million.

Top Movers:

TCC was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 78.13% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were CRDB, NMB, TPCC and NICO.

Market Participation:

Local Investors dominated both the purchase side by 100% and sales side by 85.81%, the foreign Investors purchase side was 14.19%, leading to 454.11 million net foreign cash outflow.

Market Capitalization:

Total market capitalization exhibits a slight increase of 0.843% equivalent to TZS 19,204.43 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight increase by 0.021% equivalent to TZS 12,734.57 billion driven by NICO, Tanga Cement Plc and MKCB.

Gainer & Losers:

NICO and Tanga Cement Plc were the stock gainers in the market, their prices increased by 4.48% and 1.03% to TZS 700 and TZS 1960 respectively. While MKCB was the only stock loser in the market, its price decreased by 3.33% to TZS 580.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 21.0221 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 23.2030 billion, encompassing 17 deals. The traded bonds included were 20- and 25-year government bonds.
