Market Turnover:

The total market turnover decreased by 68.4%, reached at TZS 550.74 million compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 1.74 billion.

Top Movers:

CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 89.66% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were NMB, NICO, DSE and TPCC.

Market Participation:

Local Investors dominated both the purchase and sale side by 100.00% and 99.37% respectively. While foreign investors sales side was 0.63%, leading to net foreign cash outflow of TZS 3.47 million.

Market Capitalization:

Total market capitalization exhibits a slight decrease of 0.544% equivalent to TZS 19,105.55 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease of 0.002% equivalent to TZS 12,969.50 billion. This is driven by NICO and MKCB.

Gainer & Losers:

NICO was the stock gainer in the market, its price increased by 1.39% to TZS 730. While MKCB was the only stock loser in the market, its price decreased by 6.90% to TZS 540.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 10.5081 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 10.9870 billion, encompassing 21 deals. The traded bonds included were 15-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and CRDB, SAM and NMB Corporate bonds.
