Market Turnover:

The total market turnover decreased by 37%, reaching to TZS 2.66 billion compared to the previous session’s figure of TZS 4.23 billion. Driven by decrease in market activities. Today there was block trade transaction on CRDB counter involving 3,620,000 shares.

Top Movers:

CRDB was the top mover of the market on the day under review, contributing about 98.39% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were NMB, AFRIPRISE, NICO and TBL.

Market Participation:

Local investors dominated entirely the purchase side and they account about 2.27% of the sales sides. While Foreign investor dominates the sale side by 97.73%, leading to the net foreign outflow of TZS 2.6 billion equivalent to USD 1.09 million.

Market Capitalization:

The total market capitalization experienced modest decline 0.339% settled at TZS 17,905.32 billion, driven price fall of EABL. While domestic market capitalization has increased by 0.012% to TZS 12,245.54 billion influenced by price rise of DCB and NICO.

Gainer & Losers:

DCB and NICO are the only stock gainers driven by price increase of 3.7% and 1.56% to TZS 140 and TZS 650 respectively. There was no stock loser recorded today.

Fixed Income Market:

The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 2.6360 billion. The total transactional value for these bonds amounted to TZS 2.6669 billion, encompassing 15 deals. The traded bonds include 20- and 25- year government bonds.
