The total market turnover for the week decreased by 63.24%, reached at TZS 4.81 billion compared to the previous week's figure of TZS 13.09 billion.
TBL was the top mover of the market on the week under review, contributing about 59.88% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were CRDB, TPCC, NMB, DSE and NICO.
Local investors dominated the purchase side by 97.86% and sales side by 48.48%. While foreign investors dominated the sales side by 51.52% and purchase side by 2.14%, leading to net foreign cash outflow of TZS 2.38 billion.
Total market capitalization exhibits a decrease of 0.77% equivalent to TZS 19,062.30 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight increase by 0.10% equivalent to TZS 12,983.30 billion.
AFRIPRISE and TPCC were the stock gainers, their prices increased by 4.35% and 1.99% to TZS 235 and TZS 4023 respectively. While NICO, DCB and MKCB were the stock losers in the market, their prices decreased by 1.39%, 4.00% and 6.90% to TZS 710, TZS 120 and TZS 540 respectively.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 144.8733 billion. The total turnover value for these bonds amounted to TZS 139.5276 billion, encompassing 150 deals. The traded bonds included were 15-, 20- and 25-year government bonds, AZA, CRDB, SAM and NMB Corporate bonds.
