The total market turnover for the week decreased by 29.33%, reached at TZS 6.09 billion compared to the previous week's figure of TZS 8.61 billion.
TBL was the top mover of the market on the week under review, contributing about 55.83% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were CRDB, NMB, TPCC, VODA and NICO.
Local investors dominated both the purchase and sales side by 96.17% and 83.23% respectively. While foreign investors sales side was 16.77% and purchase side was 3.83%, leading to the decrease of the net foreign cash outflow of TZS 787.58 million.
Total market capitalization exhibits a decrease of 0.72% equivalent to TZS 19,227.00 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease by 0.07% equivalent to TZS 12,808.54 billion.
DSE was the stock gainer, its price increased by 0.86% to TZS 2340. While Tanga Cement Plc and NICO were the stock losers in the market, their prices decreased by 2.06% and 14.86% to TZS 1900 and TZS 630 respectively.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totaling TZS 83.7320 billion. The total turnover value for these bonds amounted to TZS 83.2401 billion, encompassing 81 deals. The traded bonds included were 7-, 10-, 20- and 25-year government bonds and NMB and CRDB and KCB Corporate bonds.
