The total market turnover for the week decreased by 49.03%, reached at TZS 3.57 billion compared to the previous week's figure of TZS 7.3 billion.
CRDB was the top mover of the market on the week under review, contributing about 94.4% of the total market turnover. Other top movers were TPCC, NMB, NICO, DSE and AFRIPRISE.
Local investors dominated both the purchase and sales side by 99.75% and 89.83% respectively. While foreign investors sales side was 10.17% and purchase side by 0.25%, leading to net foreign cash outflow of TZS 353.99 million.
Total market capitalization exhibits an increase of 0.10% equivalent to TZS 18,923.42 billion. On the other side, Domestic market capitalization experienced a slight decrease by 0.08% equivalent to TZS 12,974.04 billion.
AFRIPRISE and Maendeleo Bank Plc were the stock gainers, their prices increased by 4.26% and 2.60% to TZS 245 and TZS 395 respectively. While TPCC, TCCL, NICO and MKCB were the stock losers in the market, their prices decreased by 0.98%, 2.22%, 4.17% and 5.17% to TZS 4060, TZS 1760, TZS 690 and TZS 550 respectively.
The fixed-income market observed bond trading with a face value totalling TZS 11.4671 billion. The total turnover value for these bonds amounted to TZS 11.8975 billion, encompassing 88 deals. The traded bonds included were 5-, 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year government bonds, NMB, AZA and SAM Corporate bonds.
